Community Leagues & tournaments
The community league program has been implemented by A-STEP for a long time. The main activities of the program are a boys’ soccer league and a girls’ volleyball league.
Despite the opportunity for community and talent development trough sports, government and sports federations have not build systems to introduce value based sports to the community. there have not been any sports for community development programs in the area, besides the ones already implemented by A-STEP and partners.
The A-STEP community league program will target the mentioned challenges by providing alternative occupation for idle kids and youth, provide opportunities for empowerment trough group discussions and interaction with positive role models, and encourage kids and youth to develop their talents and improve school participation
