About us
A-STEP is an organization founded by young sportsmen in 2006 in Eldoret Uasin-Gishu District Rift Valley Province, Kenya. It is a broad based Sports and Talents professional Organization incorporated in Kenya. The organisation currently has activities and programmes in Kakamega and Elgeyo Marakwet Counties.
A-STEP is a visionary organization working to improve the quality of life in the community, coordinates many innovative sporting activities in collaboration with the local community, area Community Based Organizations (CBOs), as well as national and international Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs).
Africa Sports and Talents Empowerment Program is registered with the Kenyan Ministry of Culture and Social Services as a Community Based Organization (CBO).
The organization is a non profit, non political and non religious organization that seeks to include all people from different backgrounds without discrimination rather promoting and advocating for equity among and across the gender, race, age, class, tribe, et cetera.
Apart from promoting sporting talents, A-STEP also supports development advocacy and social mobilization with key areas on social reforms, governance and democracy enhancement.
